The question I am most often asked by members, new and existing, of the Network is:
can you recommend a sympathetic and knowledgeable doctor? Obviously the region is
very large and I only have my own experience to go by so in the last newsletter I asked
you for your recommendations and experiences to create a discreet database for the
benefit of fellow members. To date the only response I have received is from people
wanting answers, not from anyone recommending their own G.P. Is this because no one
is happy with their own G.P.? Surely someone must have something good to say about
some of our medical practitioners in this region?

Lifestyle Management Course
The Thistle Foundation Edinburgh October 2007
This course is specially designed for people with ME/CFS. They are ten week
Programmes of group based sessions lasting three hrs each presented by two trained
course facilitators. The course is designed to make use of and build on
participants own recovery strategies and is designed around a framework of planned
discussions, safe and appropriate exercise and therapeutic relaxation.
Participants are likely to find themselves suited to the course if they feel ready to
focus on what they can do to improve their situation.

You will work with the facilitators to devise a safe, individually tailored exercise
programme suited to your ability and confidence level. This service is free of charge
