Thanks  Norma and Denis for once again arranging a
very pleasant afternoon event for ME Awareness Week
in May.
It was so  nice to renew old acquaintances and to meet
new faces from all over our region in a relaxed and
friendly manner, for a blether, some homemade cake,
biscuits and a cup of tea!
It was also a great opportunity to put forward our
concerns to Dr Purdie and to learn about new
information on ME/CFS and  Fibromyalgia.
It was great of Dr Purdie to give up some of his pre-
cious time to meet with us.  It was a really worthwhile
afternoon and I am really looking  forward to the next
one.                                            Lynn Gibson
              High ambitions
I to the hills will lift mine eyes,
I'd like to lift my feet
But this ******* ME
Has really got me beat
So when my friend tells me of walks
On mountain moor and glen
I'll ask her to describe to me
The sights that she saw then
I'll look at all her photographs
Listen to her lilting voice
And dream of places I would go
If I but had the choice
Until at last the day dawns
When I join her in the hills
I'll just be there in spirit
To experience the thrills
But every now and then
Just to give myself a treat
I
take a walk to Venniehill
In Gatehouse of Fleet"

         The wiggly worm
When digging in the garden
I cut in half a worm
I could only look on helpless
And watch the poor thing squirm
Wriggling about in agony
Like in a frantic dance
The blow that did the damage
Happened quite by chance
It must have been in great pain
I’m wondering what to do
That’s when I thought of evo-stick
Or maybe superglue
Or maybe use a bandage
Wrap it up in lint
With the aid of a matchstick
And use it like a splint
Then I thought of cellotape
Or elastoplasts
Maybe mix up polyfiller
And make a plaster cast
How can I undo?
The damage I have done
Now that there are two halves
When it should be all in one
Running out of ideas
I need an answer to my plea
When down swooped a blackbird
And ate them for his tea!!!
