Funding
‘Awards for All’ In the last newsletter we just managed to squeeze in the news about the lottery grant we had just received. After we had been refused funding from the council Denis Turner (chairperson) applied to the lottery ‘Awards for all’ It was fantastic news when we received the letter saying we had been awarded £4,450. This money is specifically for the newsletter -:
A laptop computer Printer Printing costs and postage
Prior to this we had held an emergency committee meeting; one issue was regarding fundraising. This causes us a huge problem as none of us are well enough to be doing it in the first place and we get very little practical support. Because we have to be seen to be raising some of our own funds a decision was made that we would continue with the gift day in October only.

Books and information will be available including items from the International Conference on ME/CFS Biomedical Research All money raised at this event will be donated to ME Research UK
Orders and Payment for the ’New Horizons’ DVD’s mentioned at the bottom of page 11 can be made on this day and we will have a copy sent to you. Rebecca Marshall’s presentation on ‘Pain experience in ME/CFS’ will no doubt be of special interest to those of you who took part. Look forward to seeing you.
