THE DOGGIE’S DAY

 

In  Dalbeattie Forest
At the Doggie Doddle Walk
I barely left the car park
The rested on a rock

 

I watched the doggies passing
As they walked along the path
When they came to the loch
Some took a welcome bath

 

Dogs of every shape and size
Some of them were hairy
All of them were friendly
None of the were scary

 

 

 

 

There was an English sheepdog
A Border Collie too
A West Highland Terrier
A Golden Lab and Scooby Doo!

 

A Lhasa Apso and a Boxer
As well as a Golden Retriever
Black labs and a Spaniel
As wild as a Border Reiver

 

A Parson Russell Terrier
Kissed me on the nose
Where we’d be without our dogs
Heaven only knows
