Welcome
to the website of the Dumfries and Galloway ME Network.
We
are a friendly group of sufferers and carers who have formed a network
to offer support to one another. We hold regular meetings at various towns
throughout the region.

Afternoon Tea. CHANGE OF VENUE
These meetings are always held on the first Saturday of the month from 2pm.
The next two are: Saturday the 1st of April and Saturday the 6th of May.
These gatherings will now be held at GardenWise, Garden Centre, Castle Douglas Road, Dumfries.
This is a great chance to get-together for a blether over a drink or a scone.

Meeting With Our Patron and Medical Advisor
We are currently planning a meeting with our medical advisor: Dr Gregor Purdie and our Patron: MSP Alex Fergusson. This will be held, again probably in Dumfries (apologies to our members further afield) sometime in May. Check here and in your newsletter for details of time and location.
Fundraising Event for MERGE
Doggie Doddle
Dalbeattie Forest, TownWood car park, Sunday 4th of June 1:30pm - 4:30pm
This event is being arranged to raise some funding for the ME Research Group's biomedical research into ME. You can find out more about MERGE by clicking here. The event will be a short sponsored dog walk through Dalbeattie Forest rom the Town Wood car park and picnic area. We hope our fitter members and their family, friends and carers will be able to take part and those that are not able to will help by arranging sponsorship for a dog.

| New members wanted!
If you have ME or you care for someone who has then we would like you to join our network. We provide friendly support and advice to one another, we meet up regularly and stay in contact with a bi-monthly news letter. Membership is free although we will ask for a small donation once a year to help cover our costs.
So what are you waiting for? Send an email to Craig or call me on 01387 811625 with your address and phone number and I will add you to our mailing list. After all the more support we have the louder our voice will be when campaigning for better health care and a more understanding benefits system.
