Dear Member
First of all I do apologise for being late,
Allyson and family are on their
holidays and I have been left holding the
newsletter, a Labrador called Daisy but
thank goodness not the baby !
Apparently this year in the Northern
Hemisphere  winter starts on the 22nd of
December, so you should  at least receive
this whilst we are still in autumn!
The Networks involvement with the Health
board and the Scottish Parliament means we
are constantly chipping away to get a better
service for all sufferers.  Dr Purdie’s
message at the AGM (on page 3) gives us
hope that there is some light at the end of
the tunnel.
A new local support group has been started
in Stranraer.  Their name is the
Wigtownshire FM/ME  Support group
Our best wishes to them.
Any other ME/CFS/FM local support groups
in D&G, are more than welcome to advertise
their meetings, or events free of charge in
our newsletter.  Putting sufferers in touch
with others who may be able to help is one of
our aims.
As winter approaches I suppose we should be
hoping for a extra cold one, to kill off the
bugs that can affect us for weeks or even
months.  Keep warm and take care
