                 at the Loreburn Hall, Dumfries

 

We have booked a stall and hope to raise money for the group by -: selling

 craft items that have been donated.  A Tombola with a good range of prizes.

Margaret Blake has baked and beautifully iced a novelty Christmas cake for

’Guess the weight of the cake’  

Lynn Gibson has organised a Huge Teddy dressed as Santa —Guess his birthday and he could be yours.

 

Also for sale at 50p a sheet  ‘A Seasonal Anagram Quiz’  All things to do with Christmas and New year.  The closing date being January 27th 2007. The draw will take place at ‘Garden Wise’ on Saturday 3rd February.

8th International IACFS Conference

The 8th International IACFS Conference on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and other Related Illnesses (formerly AACFS) will be held in January 2007 at Bahia Mar Beach Resort, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. The clinical/research conference will be from 12 to 14 January             (23 Category 1 Credits) and the patient conference will be from 10 to 12 January.                           ME Research UK's Chairman, Dr Vance Spence, will be giving a presentation on                                Inflammation and arterial stiffness in patients with ME/CFS, presenting exciting new data on        arterial stiffness and high sensitivity C-reactive protein, and he is looking forward to a feisty       and enlightening time. As he says, "The last conference I could attend in the States was the         2003 meeting in Washington, DC, and I hope to be able to convey some of the excitement I feel     when I see new projects and fresh data coming on-stream".
