Gift Day and Funding
A huge ‘thank you’ for the response to ‘Gift Day’ To date we have received £695. 00. As you know we were in desperate need of funds and were unable to print and post the Autumn Newsletter.
Denis has attended Funding Road Show’s in various areas of the region for help and advice in applying for funding through grants. Numerous organisations offering finance were in attendance and help and guidance for filling in the long and complicated forms was available. We have applied to the Council for a large grant over three years to financially assist in the future running of the Network. The deadline was 31st October 2006 but we will not hear if we are successful until early in 2007 A further smaller grant from ’Awards for All’ is also being applied for; through the Voluntary Sector, again it will be early in 2007 before we know if we are successful. Letters for Sponsorship of the Newsletter have been circulated around businesses in Dumfries & Galloway.
